Quickly jerk the siphon to about 4 inches below the water into the aquarium. 3. Place the other end of the siphon (with tap side) over the level of the aquarium. 4. Water will be drained off through the tube automatically. 5. Use the tap at the other end to control the draining speed edge of the aquarium. or to pause. Make sure the level of the other end of the siphon (with tap side) is lower than the tube AND the tap is not immersed under the water in the bucket.
